Project Overview

This paper was conceived before the pandemic of 2020, but released during the height of failing public policy responses and the uncovering of deep structural inequalities in Britain. It came through a partnership with Common Wealth, exploring their central themes of ownership through the lens of health justice. I used ecological and economic framing to understand the root causes of health inequity, and provided recommendations for decision makers and health practitioners.

Project Outcome

Through its release, I built relationships with community practitioners who became strategic partners during the following years of health justice organising — the most meaningful being with Centric Lab and its partners. The report was shared by senior politicians (e.g. Louise Haigh MP) and leading public health figures.
